The traditional corn maze location was in the path of a necessary infrastructure up-grade that was slated to start mid-August and be finished sometime in November. So we went from a fairly level, rectangular, 4-acre maze to a long narrow, slopped, 2acre maze. Once our new location was set, Mike and Cassie started brainstorming and the theme for our 2021 corn maze was agreed to be HOT AIR BALLOONS! Cassie went to work and created the initial drawing. It included 2 hot air balloons, baskets and clouds. Mike embellished the design by adding the paths. Clues were posted at strategic spots throughout the maze, as well as pictures of animals for our younger explorers to find. Finally, the answer station took on a life of its own, hidden in the cornfield extension!
